Frequently Asked Questions

  • The consultation is the essential first step before any permanent make-up procedure.
  • Consultations can be conducted either online or in person at the studio, where the client's needs and desires are discussed.
  • Skin type is analyzed, and technical options are discussed, taking into consideration the client's preferences.
  • The consultation can last between 15 and 30 minutes, and eventually the date and time of the first appointment is arranged.

  • The first session consists of performing the procedure in the desired area(s).
  • The working time can vary between 1-3 hours depending on the area and complexity of the work.
  • It is important to note that the first session requires special caution due to the variability of pigment retention in the skin.
  • At the end of the procedure, the client is given instructions on how to care for the area during the healing process. The date and time of the touch-up is set (usually 1-1.5 months after the first session).

  • The touch-up is the second stage of permanent make-up and is just as important as the first procedure.
  • Adjustments are made to the color, intensity and shape depending on the result of the first session.
  • In some cases, especially when working with difficult skin, a second touch-up may also be necessary.
  • The final result can only be fully appreciated after both sessions have healed completely, 1-1.5 months after the touch-up.

  • Maintenance is done at the client's request, usually at 1–2 year intervals, depending on the rate of pigment fading and the client's lifestyle.
  • The duration of permanent makeup varies depending on such factors as skin type, pigments used, metabolism and lifestyle.

Approximate duration of permanent make-up:

  • Eyebrows: 2-4 years
  • Eyes: 4-5 years
  • Lips: 3-5 years

It is important to note that results may vary depending on the person, and following the post-procedure instructions helps to achieve the best results.

  • It is recommended that you come to the procedure wearing your regular decorative makeup. This will give me a clearer understanding of what you want from your permanent makeup.
  • If you have had your eyebrows previously tattooed and are interested in a cover-up/re-work, you must inform and send a clear photo before booking your appointment. In some cases where the previous work is too dark, dense, or large, tattoo removal will be highly recommended before we begin the cover-up/re-work.
  • If you have recently had surgery or have a specific medical condition, please consult your doctor about the procedure.
  • Alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to the procedure is highly discouraged.
  • The use of narcotics, sedatives or anesthetic drugs is strictly prohibited.
  • Do not take medication such as blood thinners, Aspirin, Advil, Nurofen or Ibuprofen before the procedure.
  • Inform about any known allergies to substances.
  • Avoid drinking coffee, black tea or energy drinks.
  • Do not use chemical peels at least 2 weeks before the procedure.
  • Avoid long exposure to the sun or sunbathing 7 days before the procedure.
  • If the area to be worked on is affected by trauma or injury, please give 24 hours’ notice. In this case the procedure is not possible.

  • The minimum age requirement for permanent makeup is 18 years old.
  • Pregnancy and breast feeding
  • Diabetic (okay if you are being monitored by a doctor and do not have issues healing)
  • Undergoing chemotherapy (must be done 4 weeks prior to chemo or when you are fully cleared by your doctor)
  • Viral infections and/or diseases
  • Epilepsy
  • Skin irritations near the treated area (Eczema, Psoriasis, rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
  • Major heart conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, poor general health
  • Botox in the past 2 weeks, filler in the past 5 weeks
  • STOP lash Serum 2 weeks before liner or lash enhancement (4 weeks for Latisse)
  • Any treatment, medication, or illness that compromises the immune system/healing would make you NOT a good candidate for permanent makeup procedures.
  • Any major laser or skin procedure within the past 4 weeks as the skin must be in a healthy and normal condition (not peeling, compromised barrier, etc).
  •

  • In most cases, the procedure is relaxed and pain-free. However, some individuals may experience slight discomfort. Surely, any discomfort is typically manageable and not considered painful. In cases where needed or requested, a local anesthetic can be applied to ensure a comfortable experience throughout the procedure.

  • In my studio, safety is the number one rule. I use only disposable tools and materials, unsealed in front of you, for complete transparency. Work surfaces are rigorously disinfected, and instruments are sealed with disposable barriers, eliminating any risk of contamination.

Responsibility for your health is a priority. Whether it's a minor procedure or a quick touch-up, I apply the same strict safety measures. The highest quality, time-tested pigments guarantee not only flawless visual results, but also safe application.

  • If you have symptoms of a herpetic infection, the procedure may not be performed.
  • Contact your doctor for an antiviral prescription right after procedure (cold sore breakout are often appearing after permanent makeup procedure on lips)
  • If you have had a hyaluronic acid lip enhancement procedure, the treatment can be performed at least 5 weeks after the procedure.

  • Immediately after the procedure, the lips will be very saturated and will most likely be swollen. Don't worry, the inflammation will decrease in the next 2 hours.
  • The day after the procedure, the swelling will disappear, but the lips will turn a darker color. No reason to panic. Over the next two to three days, they will fade, and the color will lighten up by 50-60%.
  • After 4-5 days, the peeling process will be over. It's important not to rush the fall of the crusts by scratching or tearing the flakes, as gaps can form on the pigmented surface.
  • The complete healing process takes 6-8 weeks; during this period, the implanted pigment stabilizes in the tissue. During these weeks, you may find that the colored surface is not uniform, be patient for the whole healing cycle to be completed.
  • Whenever you feel dryness, apply moisturizing lip balm (lip balm should be new).

  • Eating hot or spicy food immediately after the procedure is not allowed.
  • Make sure the cutlery and dishes you eat from for the next 24 hours are clean and sanitized.
  • It is forbidden to wear decorative make-up in the lip area for 4-5 days after the procedure.
  • It is forbidden to scratch and peel off the flakes that form during healing.
  • Hyaluronic acid lip augmentation procedure is strictly forbidden for 6-8 weeks after permanent make-up.

  • If you wear contact lenses, they will be removed; on the day of the procedure, you will wear glasses.
  • If you wear eyelash extensions, they will be removed at least one week before the procedure.
  • If you have ulcerations on your eyelid, the procedure is not possible.

  • Immediately after the procedure, you may notice slight swelling and redness in the eye area; this is normal. The swelling will disappear in the next 24 hours.
  • The crusting period in the eye area may vary between 5-7 days. Remember that the healing process continues for up to 8 weeks.
  • Immediately after crusting, the appearance of the color will be pale; as time passes and the skin regenerates, the intensity of the pigment will increase.

  • If your skin feels dehydrated, a light moisturizing cream can be applied in a thin layer by tapping movements. Heavy, oily Bepanthen-type creams should not be used.
  • IMPORTANT: Do not makeup eyes until the crust will fall.

  • Do not pluck your eyebrows at least 2 weeks before the procedure.
  • Do not style the eyebrows with henna or products that change the natural shape of the eyebrow or the direction of eyebrow hair growth.

Day 1

After the procedure, the eyebrows will have a more intense color saturation and a slightly larger shape than the desired result. This is normal, by the end of complete healing they will be 30-60% lighter.

Day 2

The next day, their color will intensify even more. You might feel a slight dryness due to the formation of crusts, but they will fall off in 1.5-2 weeks and the eyebrows will look much too light. Be patient, the result of the treatment can be evaluated after 5-8 weeks!

Day 7-9

In some areas, the micro-crusts start to partially fall off and the pigment looks lighter in color. It is absolutely FORBIDDEN to scratch them or try to remove them, as you may damage the color underneath. Also, do not apply a thick layer of Vaseline or Bepanten type creams as it can create a sauna effect on the skin. At this stage, please be patient! Note that this is not the final shade!

Week two

Shape and color begin to take shape. Remember, this is not the end result! The pigment in the skin is still stabilizing.

Week 5-8

By this time, pigment will reappear on the skin, the defined lines will fade, and you will be able to see the final result. Women over 50 may have a slower metabolism, so it may take a little longer for permanent makeup to fully heal.

  • The following are not allowed for 2 weeks after the procedure: sauna, swimming pool, solarium, direct and long exposure to the sun, intense exercise that includes profuse sweating, long and hot showers and baths,
  • Applying decorative make-up in the eyebrow area during the first 2 weeks is not allowed.
  • Facial cleansing in the first 2 weeks should be done carefully, without rubbing the eyebrow area. Drying the face will be done with a disposable paper towel by patting it gently.
  • Scratching and forced peeling of the scabs is forbidden. This may cause color gaps in the eyebrow.
  • If you feel dryness of the skin in the eyebrow area, a light moisturizing cream should be applied in a very thin layer by patting. Do not use greasy creams or Bepanten-type ointments.
  • REMEMBER aftercare is an essential step to achieving beautiful and desired permanent makeup, please do not mistreat this step.
